Baseball Frontier League Info

Baseball Frontier League

The Baseball Frontier League, founded in 1993, makes for the oldest running independent league in America. Moreover, after its merger with the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball, it has become the largest independent league as well. These two factors have led it to become a partner of Major League Baseball.

With teams hailing from North-eastern and Mid-western United States and Eastern Canada, the Frontier League's yearly return is highly anticipated by baseball fans.

16 teams, split evenly between East and West divisions, make up the league, battling to see who comes out on top.

Structure of the League

A season of the Baseball Frontier League has a total of 96 games. This number guarantees that your favored team will play three to four games with division rivals and face the eight teams from the other division at least once each, no matter if they win or lose.

The top three teams qualify to participate in the playoffs, ensuing a string of exciting matches.

The first-place team directly qualifies for the division championship, while the second and third-place teams play each other in a wild-card game. In the end, the finalists bump heads and the champions are announced.

Feel the Energy in the Stadium

Baseball has been considered America's de facto national sport by the people since the 20th century. With so many fans all over the country, the amount of energy in the stands is inconceivable without being there yourself.

As a baseball fan, watching a live match is imperative. The playful banter with other fans, the taste of beer on your tongue, and the overall sensation of cheering for your favorite team in person are unbeatable.

Rest assured, even if you don't have any prior knowledge of the league, you can still relish the game to the brim. You don't even need to know how baseball works since the crowd's energy will keep you hyped through the match!

Witness the Determination of Athletic Players

Team players are usually undrafted college players or one-time prospects who were released from their teams. This means you likely haven't watched some players' performances before.

Through the Frontier League, you get to see them develop and become legends in their own right. And perhaps soon, you'll see them in the Major Baseball League too!
